Guest guest
My daughter and I have been on SCD for about a month now. We are intolerant to a lot of the same foods. My problem is that I just cannot come up with a meal plan for one day where my daughters eczema does not flair up. It is getting really frustrating. So far my daughter does tolerate green beans, asparagus, bananas, pears, eggs, little fish, one spoon of almond butter, one spoon dripped goat yogurt and gelatine. I also tolerate some meat and lots of garlic. However, it is hard getting all the calories from this, especially for my daughter. We do not tolerate avocado, plums, cherry juice, meat (daughter), carrots, coconut oil ... I just need a few more foods as a baseline. What shall I try? We are currently in stage 2. Thanks. Guest guest
We are also reacting to tomato. I react to butternut squash, but I need to test for that one independently again.
Guest guest
My kids react to tomato and butternut squash...you are not the only ones. They do tolerate accorn(pepper)squash though. You can make a untomato sauce with just carrots and beets...I just cook 2 cups of carrots and 1 cup of beets and just puree with some added water, and simmer for the stove for a while. I only add a bit of honey, salt and pepper...they don't tolerate more.. Here is a link below for untomato sauce...use honey for sugar and remove things you don't tolerate: http://recipecircus.com/recipes/Writermom77/Sauces/UnTomato_Sauce.html If you don't tolerate the beets yet...I heard if you roast carrots in the oven you can just puree them with a little water and make that into sauce.(a little seasoning if you can would make it yummier) Cathy Mom to celiacs scd aug 2006 > > We are also reacting to tomato. Guest guest
If you want to mail me...I may be able to give you some more food ideas. I have a very intolerant 7 year old who can not eat much. Maybe there is something I make for her you can try. cathy > > We are also reacting to tomato.
