Guest guest
Hi just got out of hospital, they stuffed up a head injury i had gave me a spinal epidural and i now have that a spinal headache, concussion and pancreatitis but i am not going back to hospital I hate it they had me on ketamine, am taking 160 mg fast release morphine and its not holding it I am now seeing head of pain team this thursday he called me today, the other doc who was expertimenting on me is sacked, he basically extorted me and said that the epidural he stuffed up he took an hour to get needles in without xray and then sent me away , I fell over twice outside the hospital went to the ER after calling the duty manager, he basicaly before that said he would abort all my pain treatment he wanted me to go quietly due to his stuff up, wanted to agree that he was right refused to do a blood patch that the neurologist had ordered and conned another anethetist not to do it all I wanted was pain relief, It was a 9. I had 2 stints in hospital and was there around 11 days I left noone there to pick me up fell over outside the hsopital twice hit my head twice and went back to emergency. He also threatened me with no pain treatment as the epxperiments he has been doing dont seem to be ethical. I am now seeign the head of dept.He has breached about 3 code of rights that we have now seen. My mum came to my rescue,my relationship is not looking good, and I cant work due to meds and pain. I am now on clonazepam as well to help me sleep They had me on ketamine, and I am home I go back on Thursday to see what they can do. Its such a mess, I am trying to get on top of it now, am also goign to write a complaint, he the previous pain doc saw me 3 times after my mother complained to have a go at me then came in at 4 30 and kicked me out when he knew the neurologist had gone home. The Emergency staff picked me up off the floor outside the ER where I collapsed crying from pain the second time debs
Guest guest
Debs, I'm so glad this doctor has been fired..couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy I am sure.. I hope your nightmare ends for you soon, and the new pain doc can get it under control. I would still be writing a complaint as you are..If you have to pay for these extra medical bills out of your own pocket, I'd be looking at that doctor contributing as he was the one who got you in this situation. Sorry to hear that your relationship is going south...some people just can't handle the worst of illnesses. I haven't been on the carer's side, but I know it has to be hard. Are there no other family or friends you can rely on even for transport? Perhaps you could call the Emergency Squad (or whatever they are called in NZ) and ask if they know of any groups that can help people out even for transportation if this situation arises again. I hope this is the bottom that you have hit and the only other direction to go is up... take care, Ward PAI Administration Support dceward@... Guest guest
Debs, you poor thing. though I'm not surprised by that previous doctor's behavior considering his previous behavior towards you. I am glad you are now seeing the head of the pain department and hopefully your pain will be under control soon. I am sorry that you were in the hospital and that you had fallen twice and that it was due to that idiot (the nicest thing I have to say about him. you don't want to hear the things I'm thinking about this guy) you were seeing before. Defintely write that complaint letter to everyone you can think needs to see it (Head of hospital, here we have Medical boards/associations that oversee doctors too, if you have anything similar there, definitely send a copy to them). I am so glad that your mom is helping you get through this, though I'm sorry your relationship (I assume to your significant other?) is not looking good. You have been though so much the past year. Try and take it as easy as you can. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Note: All advice given is personal opinion, not equal to that of a licensed physician or health care professional.
