Yogourmet problems/lid pops open/unusable yogurt

The last 2 times I made yogurt, it was so runny, much too runny to be

usable. It seems as if my jar is somehow popping open. This last time

I was extra careful to make sure it was latched closed before putting

it in. I don't know if it's the humidity or the fact that I just

ordered a spare jar, and maybe it's the spare jar that's the problem.

Anyone ever experience this and have a workaround or explanation? Next

time maybe I will put rubber bands arouond the jar. I hope I have time

to make more tonight. This would make the third night in a row I

attempt to make yogurt. Eating naturally is hard work.

I'm not sure it's the jar lid that's the problem. I've been using my

Yogourmet for 3 years and have lost the lid. I use a piece of aluminum foil

just

pressed against the top of the inner container and my yogurt continues to be

fine. Can you tell what else you're doing to make the yogurt so I can try to

help you trouble shoot what else may be going on?

Thanks!

Cathy

My lid has popped off several time also, but the yogurt is still usable. I just

test it first before giving it to my children.
