I asked about it a couple of weeks back, and it's illegal.

Agave as a sweetner

has anyone used agave as a sweetner instead of honey on SCD.

Hi Becky, (This is not so much for you as for all newbies)

I do remember how many foods not apparently SCD legal, I asked about at the

beginning.

It wasn't so much a need for them, but major curiosity on what was wrong with

them.

(It kind of reminds me of the C&W song, " Looking for Love in All the Wrong

Places:-)

I have come to feel that SCD supplies me with enough options and variety to have

made

me stop looking for things that are not listed. Chances are if it wasn't

mentioned in the

book or website, it's usually not legal. Elaine not only researched a long time

but she was

sophisticated about food.

I think when you begin SCD there is a defiant hidden reluctance not just about

giving up

certain foods, but giving up the idea that the world of food is no longer our

complete

oyster.

To me it that is a myth just as is the fact many doctors do not even understand

that on

SCD we have our own crackers, chips, pizza, ice cream, bread, muffins, cake,

candy and

even pasta (zucchini noodles)

I'd love to invite nay-sayers to an SCD dinner prepared by great chefs, not

tell them the

food was on the SCD diet and then see what they have to say. I'd put the CCFA at

the head

table. LOL
