Guest guest
Thanks Laurie, I've been reading everyone's posts and have picked up some helpful info. I had NO idea that drs. staff and people in general would judge a person for them trying to stop their pain. how insensitive. I forgot to mention the other day when I was speaking about my neice who was born with an abnormal pancreas and was always complaing her stomach hurt. she went through it for yrs unitl my sister finally found someone where she lived in Boston at the time. they ended up putting some type of small sized machinery inside her stomach area to inject pain medication on a continual basis. when it runs out, she knows it and has to go back in for them to more in. don't quote me word for word, because this was back in the early 80's. I couldn't believe she walks around with this buldge in her stomach. I never heard of such a thing. but it really helped her. I remember them doing something to the nerves surgically and the effects of it only lasted a very short amount of time but was well worth it to my niece. It does something to block the pain for only a short amount of time. I had NO IDEA what this disease was till now. my gosh. I wish I had given her more support. she's grown now and has children of her own. I remember her being a high risk pregnancy because of her disease. I thank everyone here for sharing their knowledge. every little bit of info is of help. sincerely, S. --------------------------------- Discover Yahoo!
