Guest guest
Hello Everyone! This is my first time on egroup. I had been working on my packet for 4 months (medical and insurance problems that came up). I am approved and have my clinic on Dec. 28th and surgery on Dec. 29th. I would love to know who else is scheduled to " dance " that day. I am from Canton, Ohio and plan on driving to Durham with my husband. I am so excited. I look forward to reading everyone's mail on egroup. Take care! Lorie Pressler

Guest guest
Margaret, What a great Christmas/New Years gift for ourselves, huh! Thanks for the encouragement and good wishes. You'll be in my prayers for your surgery. You are so right about the great group of people. I have really enjoyed reading everyone's emails to each other and feeling all of the love and support. I received an email from and she is a kook. I told her to leave me alone but she keeps emailing me. YUCK! What a sicko. What do I need to do to get rid of her? Any suggestions? Thanks again for your kind words. Lorie in Ohio 12/29/00 Re: New Littermate > Welcome Lorie!! > You have found a great group! You will find answers > to all your questions here. Guest guest
Thanks Christy! I hope all went well with yours. Good luck on your weight loss. I have to say that I am a bit overwhelmed by all of the kindness and caring. Everyone is so helpful to each other. It really makes a person feel good about all this. Thanks again! Guest guest
Lori Ironically enough I used as a contact, she and I had e-mails this was back in September before the " jeckyl/hyde " manifestation. She will scare the poop out of ya!!She has been sending letters to everyone. She was Dr.R's biggest advocate until (I am just reperting what I have heard/read) 1.) she is a 'slow' loser 2. he would not hire her 3. he would not do a revision immediately. She is right about one thing, though, you should do lots of research. I for one, feel that I could just as easily get into a car accident as have a problem or perhaps contract cancer in my later years. I am on the slow road to nowhere as it is.. I am on crutches and painkillers so... read and re-read the manual and the websites do your own research. You have to feel comfortable with your decison, this is a mjaor lifestyle change. a change for the good, but still a change. Hope this helps Suzanne Flagler/Palm Coast

Guest guest
Lorie, When I joined this list it was the first time I didn't feel bad about being fat. Everyone on here either has or had a weight problem.. everyone on here has tried for years to control that problem with no avail, and now we all come together to share, help one and another, and listen.. Guest guest
Trudy, Your words are so true. I have immensely enjoyed reading everyone's conversations and seeing the friendships bound across the pages. I've laughed quite a bit, too. Just reading has made me feel a part of everything. Once I started writing, everyone welcomed me with open arms and friendship. I thank you all. I have often felt like the " outcast " among the " lovely " people of the world. It will be such a pleasure to walk into a store and not be ignored or stared at. Thanks for your warm and caring words. Guest guest
Suzanne, Thanks for the info on her. I have spent over 4 months researching and wouldn't be doing this if I didn't feel informed and prepared. I think that is the basis of Dr. R's policy....know what you are doing BEFORE you do it. I had heard about long before I sent my packet in and you are right, she scares the poop out of new people. When I opened the email from her, I didn't realize that it was her. I told her to (excuse the vulgar inference) " bite me " . Can you believe I actually offended her sense of respectability. I then told her what I thought of her in a polite, yet straight forward manner. I also told her not to contact me again (which she did anyway). I deleted it without even looking at it. That, as they say, is the end of that (her)! I appreciate your telling me about her. It confirms what I already felt. Thanks again! Guest guest
Trudy, I don't know about anyone else, but I need some humor in my life. I've got plenty to bring me down, and so little to laugh about. Besides, if I find something offensive or not of interest, I click on delete. The world is full of various personalities, how boring it would be if we were all alike. Certainly this is not the place for porn, but I've not seen that here. Delete is my friend!
