I wonder if CT scan contrasts oral or dye might be cause of diarrhea, sweats, or

other

problems you mention. I have no problem with CT scans, but my wife gets severe

bladder

pain reaction from the iodine-based IV dye, and also from aspartame. Sorbitol

gives her

diarrhea,. All labs use oral contrast solutions that contain one of these or

some other

artificial sweetener, probably in deference to those with diabetes but ignoring

those

sensitive or allergic to any sweetener other than good old sugar. And since

these are

" medical " products they do not have to put on the label which sweetener they

contain.

Have to call manufacturer to find out, and they say " may contain one or more of

the

following. " God help anyone who has multiple sensitivity syndrome. After a

couple visits

to ER after a scan, we learned to ask doctors to request scans be done without

IV contrast

and we special order un-sweetened contrast from a pharmacy before the scan,

Just a

thought.
