Guest guest
I am sorry to hear of your troubles Chris. It must be frustrating for you with finding the answers. especially when it comes to genetics. It's very detailed and if we're not scientists, it's hard to understand the terminology. I've tried my hand a couple times studying on the internet about genetics. It's very complex as you well know. I think this doctor may be on to something too. this coworker of mine was not in work yesterday. Her work takes her out in the field some days. I will ask her sometime today and get back to you when I find out his name and location. I can't I'm corresponding with someone from BEAUTIFUL Hawaii. what a gift to be able to live in such beauty. were you born there? How I'm not being rude by asking such questions. My dream is to one day visit there, that's why I ask. New York is nothing compared to the tropics. I've never had the opportunity to ever visit a tropic land. we have alot of maples and pine trees in vast surrounding woods in our area. I was raised along the banks of the historical Hudson River, in a little town called " Sleepy Hollow " alot of people are familiar with the myth of the " headless horseman " I know where the original bridge stands today that he supposebly crossed. Of course it's a new one but the name is still the same. I do love it here. don't get me wrong. I love our four seasons and appreciate each new season as if I was just borne and had never been exposed to it. the world is a beautiful place to discover. isn't it? I'll get back to you later today. S. P.S.- I'd love to learn where others are from too. I'm new here as you can tell. __________________________________ Discover Yahoo! Find restaurants, movies, travel and more fun for the weekend. Guest guest
Dear : I look forward to the contact information if you're able to provide anything. I asked one of my doctors about a possible link and he replied that he feels it is unlikely because there would be so many more cases of pancreatitis in children of alcoholics. However, he very interestingly pondered whether this is the unknown cause of what used to be called juvenile diabetes. Anyway, if and when you find out more about the study or the doctor, please let me know. Yes, Hawaii is a paradise. Even on bad pain days, it's hard to be miserable if I go outside and look around me. The gorgeous blue sky, the many, many shades of green in trees, shrubs and grasses. The beautiful flowers - we grow many tropical varieties and exotic protea on our family farm. The view from my kitchen deck across the Maui isthmus to the West Maui Mountains, with the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean is spectacular. I've lived most of my life on Maui, but I've also lived in Southern California (as a child and teen) and have traveled a great deal. On my last trip to the East Coast, I was able to get out of NYC and drive through beautiful countryside upstate New York and parts of New Jersey. I would love to have another vacation trip East for the fall colors some day. I had no idea there was really a place named " Sleepy Hollow. " Of course I've read Washington Irving; I have fond memories of reading his " Tales of the Alhambra " while in Granada, Spain. I was very fortunate to be healthy enough to travel when I was younger and even now, my family has been wonderful in helping me to go on fabulous cruises I could not otherwise afford. And cruising is the only way to go! No stress, no hassles eating out (they will prepare whatever you want and leave off the butter and oil, etc) all entertainment included in the price and you can enjoy everything or simply relax. Again, thanks for any info you can provide and if you have any particular questions about Hawaii, please e-mail me at any time. I enjoying spreading aloha! in Hawaii
Guest guest
Wow Chris! thanks for painting such a beautiful vision for me when you look over your deck. living there must be like living a vacation every day of your life. I hear your appreciation in everything. life, your family, etc. You sound grateful and thankful. I like that. You are one of the people in this world who deserve it. Maybe one day I'll make it there. I see you have had the opportunity to visit in my area. It is beautiful, and I'm glad to see you think so too. It's cool being raised in a town where a myth is written about. I've learned that people from all over are familiar with this myth. I didn't realize at the time growing up how special that really is. I feel embarrased to say that this coworker friend of mine was only able to give me the name of the dr. and she said she'd get the information for me in full detail of address, etc. and give me this info when she returns to office on monday. tomorrow. I hope she didn't forget me. she's always a wirl wind. too much going on in her little head. she's always nervous. I bet she forgets to bring this important info to me. but I'll remind her when I see her if she forgot me. I hope she's not just telling me a story. my other coworkers and myself have found her making up stories. we don't feel comfortable working with this person. so hopefully, she wasn't able to make up such a vivid story as the genetic thing goes. I approached her on fri and explained in detail why I'm so interested in her story of her mom and her dr. I bet she didn't think I was really listening to her when she explained to me what that dr said so long ago. Little did I know I'd have to approach her on it and ask for his name. so lets see if what she said is true. I was alittle worried when that thought popped into my head and thought I should share this with you. Aloha S. __________________________________________________
