Heidi, my goodness. This is what I'm fearing the most. I am waiting for my

dental package to arrive in my hands soon. our company just started it. The

employees are to pay 100% which is cheaper compared to getting it on my own.

My teeth are shifting horribly. I'm getting painful spasm like pain on both

sides of the jaws. Plus I've been having spine pain for about two yrs now and

it's progressivly getting worst. My pcp only ordered a cervical xray. I needed

the entire spine, not partial.

so I didn't say anything further to him with all that's going on with this new

diagnosis of mal. and cp. I haven't had a chance to further pursue it. I suffer

terribly when I cook big meals and I have to stand up long. forget the

holidays. I dred them.

cooking and baking is my favorite hobby and the pain has come between me and my

favorite past time. I was thinking maybe age had something to do wtih it too.

since the mid forties seem to be the magical age for new aches and pains.

I just went to the rheumatologist the other day and I happened to mention the

spine pain to him and he said it's because I have no muscle left from the

maladsorption and weight loss. there's nothing to pad the spine. that freaked

me out. So he may be right. I don't really know. It does make sense.

I had NO IDEA until you told me that my bone pain might be related to the

malabsorption.

I do have another question. Is pancreatic insufficiency different from the

diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis, or is it the same?

I thought it was the same.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks for your help.

S.
