I have a friend who makes a great fresh sala. There are two ingredients that I

need to ask if are legal. The two " non-fresh " ingredients are a can of chopped

green chilis, and a jar of black olives. Are either or both of these legal?

Meleah,

I use the Santa Barbara black olives. I use their plain version, the

fancy ones contain other ingredients. They have no additives.

They may be gotten on Amazon or in health food stores.

Why not use fresh green chilis?

Hi Meleah,

Canned chilis aren't legal (no canned veggies). You may be able to

find legal bottled chilis.

Depends what the ingredients in the black olives are(ferrous

gluconate is an illegal).

Fresh chilis and plain black olives are legal as long as they don't

come with illegal additives
