Guest guest
Hi , Too bad you didn't remember to mention it to him.......but next time, for sure. I have that happen to me too, the forgetting while you are in consultation. I sure can understand why, especially with those CT films to be looked at! I was wondering....do you think he will submit it as a case report? It seems that your " incident " is a rare thing and I wouldn't be surprised if either he or the radiologist doesn't write this up as a case report for a few journals. If so, let me know and I can look for the article. It usually takes a year or more to get published but I sure bet that they are thinking about it! Wow, what a close call girl! You are literally " tough skinned " I guess in order to keep those intestines enclosed against that pressure. Oh my goodness, I just cannot even imagine what that must have looked like......... As far as pain...yea, that surgery for me was the worst that I have ever experienced. I even felt it during the surgery itself. I remember it very clearly. I was screaming in my head for the surgeon to stop, stop, stop! The surgeon thinks that I am crazy....he said that there is NO WAY that I was feeling pain during the procedure let alone have memory of it. But I honestly feel that I do. I just cannot believe that I made it up. I was never conscious in any of my surgeries when they wheeled me into the suite so I cannot be using those memories to construct false ones. I was put under in pre-op.......... Anyways, I had a hard time dealing with those memories for the first year or so...had nightmares pretty regularly, only get them occasionally now.. No wonder I am so skittish about having any doctor deal with me..........I guess I have lots of hangups. Sigh.......... Well, I hope that you are getting better. Get lots and lots of rest. I hope that your daughter is still able to get you around. Having a driver to help out makes things a little easier. Get better soon, get your job at the DDC like you hope and maybe, just maybe, I will come down and see what is up in your neck of the woods!!!
