Guest guest
Hi all! Fortunately, my mouth behaved as I expected and I woke this morning with absolutely no pain, after only getting to play the whimp for one afternoon and evening. It got me out of cooking dinner, Bob did that by preparing some grilled red snapper with mango/peach salsa, mashed potatoes and a Stouffer's spinach souffle, with pudding for dessert. All nice and mushy and easy on the tender mouth. Bright and early tomorrow morning.........well, as early as I can get myself in gear, that is....lol......I'm off to the South Carolina mountains, driving my grandson Austin, and his friends Charner and Christian off to summer camp at Camp Chatuga in Mtn. Rest, SC. This will be Austin's and my 5th year making this journey together, as Bob has always had to work the weekend that camp starts or finishes. Darn, he works EVERY weekend, so what else's new? He left early this morning. It's a long trip up to the camp, but the time passes quickly with young companions who are all excited and anticipating another fun summer. We'll spend a night 30 minutes away from camp so that we can arrive at the gate early the next morning before the opening hour - a trick we've learned so the boys can get the best choice of upper bunks in their cabins! That's the " cool " spot to be, since the screened windows run along the upper levels of each cabin, and even in the mountains, it can get pretty hot. Consequently, I'll be gone for a few days and hope that there's nothing but good news to hear from everyone when I return. I hope that Chrissy has a great day preparing her daughter's jambalaya dinner, (yummm), and doesn't overdo, and that Brigitte's pain levels have gone down and that she's on the road to recovery, and that Angie up at MUSC, is also recovering well and soon to be going home. I hope you straighten out the mystery about Lawlor, as I, too, thought she was having the TP/ICT, but if she's already been released, something else must have been going on. I hope we hear about this soon. Everyone else.....be safe and pain-free as much as you can - I'll be back online in a few days. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. PS to Cyndi - Don't worry, when I'm driving alone on trips, I do check my BS often, plus I usally let myself run a little higher than normal, and always take along small low carb snacks or nuts to nibble on while I'm driving. :-)
