Guest guest
The good news-my sons sensory issues are improving and he no longer swallows food whole the bad news-I can't get fish oil capsules in him to save my life. He sniffs all his food before tasting it to be sure I haven't snuck in the oil itself, and now removes the capsules from his mouth before chewing(puts them right back on the spoon in fact) I've tried Popsicles, applesauce, goat cheese, stuffed in a muffin, yogurt... I really want that fish oil in there-anybody else have similar trouble? I need help! Teena Ben SCD 4 mo
Guest guest
Have you tried pharmax brand? It has no fish odor/taste, just a hint of orange flavor (natural from essential oil of orange). Kids chew the capsules like gum, or you can use the liquid in drinks or salad dressing. - aneetw wrote: The good news-my sons sensory issues are improving and he no longer swallows food whole the bad news-I can't get fish oil capsules in him to save my life. Guest guest
--- Hi Teena I'm not sure if this would be useful for you but at oralflo.com they have a pill swallowing cup. It has a spout in which you place the pill. When you take a drink, the pill is swallowed at the same time. If you visit the site it has all the info. Guest guest
teena, have you tried just giivng it on a spoon (not in capsule form)? my daughter takes cod liver oil this way...doesn't seem to bother her at all. but in the beginning when i tried to sneak it in, she just hated that. she doesn't like food mixed together, that doesn't belong together. > Have you tried pharmax brand?
