Guest guest
Heidi, I seem to be heading down that way myself. About three weeks ago I broke a tooth so badly they are going to have to remove it as it's unrepairable. I've got a jury rigged temporary repair that isn't expected to last much longer (they had to bind a cap to the two teeth on either side of the broken one to keep it in place). The only reason I haven't had it pulled yet and a replacement put in is because I have to check with both my doctor and my anticoagulation clinic to see if they want it done in a hospital setting or if it's okay the dentist do it since I'm on bloodthinners. If that's the case, then I have to see a maxillofacial doctor to do this (only dental dr.s at Kaiser) to do this for me. As it is, I can't eat sandwiches or anything like corn. I have to cut everything up in bite sixed pieces and chew on the opposite side of my mouth. Evidently, my enamel never formed right and so all my teeth are deteriourating at an excellerated rate and the CP is only aggravating it. Sometime in the next 10 years or so, I'm going to have to consider dentures. I'm only 34 (35 this weekend). Kimberf -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
