Big:

Over medicating is VERY DANGEROUS and not what the doctors want you to do. I

had very dear friend who passed away in June of 2003 because she overmedicated

herself. Her respitory system was so supressed she stopped breathing. Her

children and husband had to wake up the next day with their mother/wife dead.

She did not intend to overmedicate. She has been in chronic pain since she was

22, she died at 33.

I know that pancreatitis is a painful disease, but overmedicating is not the

answer. Over medicating compounds the problem by making your tolerance higher

and you run the risk of becoming an addict. When your an addict how will you

know the difference between pain and craving the drug.

I think you should re-evaluate how you handle things when you are in severe

pain. If you have a pain doctor, I'm sure he would agree that this is not the

proper way to handle the pain.
