How long have you had cp?

I've already had to go down from full time hours down

to part.

It's killing me financially. but my health is slowely

deteroriating.

I have no energy after full time work to take care of

my family.

having to push myself to make a full course meal after

work is just too much to bare. even doing the dishes

after supper is difficult.

the only person who helps me is my partner.

My youngest 15 yr. old stopped doing chores, she's

hardly home anymore. she's always with her b/f. my

oldest daugher age 21 was helping with the chores but

no longer is staying with me.

and my 22 yr.old son won't lift a finger but leaves

his dirty dishes in the sink for ME to clean.

I have to tell him over and over again to please clean

up after himself. I am not his servent.

my health has been decling for a few yrs. now so

they're used to me not feeling well. I retire to my

bdrm to watch t.v. and fall asleep early, and rise

early. I don't have much of a relationship with my

children anymore. I feel guilty of this.

but I don't feel well a good part of the time.

It's not because I'm in pain. I'm just exhausted. I

can't gain any weight back and it's continueing to go

down even further, slowely.

I'm taking the enzymes and finally become acclimated

to them without them hurting my stomach further. they

also made my stomach gassy , but no more.

I was told if I go on disablity that I'd hardly be

able to live with that income alone. How do you

manage this Kimber?

do you find the assitance a big help?

You mentioned you have other health issues too besides

the cp?

Me too Kimber. It's just one thing after the other.

the ct scan I had last week showed the ovary problem

like I predicted.

the gyno never ordered a follow up Ultra sound after

the cyst burst this past jan. I saw her in April

becasue she's a new associate to my original gyno who

no longer participates with my insurance.

she hired her to use her for all her patients who have

oxford. she has a solo practice until she hired this

other dr.

I met her for the first time in april. I couldn't

believe she didn't want to order another follow up

Ultra sound. the hospital results said something was

next to the ovary and is assuming it's the remains of

the burst cyst. she palpated the other cyst and said

it was small and I left the office. she did an annual

exam basically. but she didn't realize I went there

for a follow up from the burst cyst and to check the

other one that was growing next to the burst one.

by this dr. not requesting a follow up is causing my

gastro dr. to write her a letter encouraging her to

follow up with this. the ct scan said something is

there still. but my gastro dr doesn't know what it is.

I'm going to request to see the results myself on

monday. I'll have them fax it to me at work.

I don't want the cyst issue to deter my gastro dr from

further evaluting the cp.

I learned he is not stopping but going to send me for

further testing.

an Mri/mrcp hopefully. he has to get approval.

ct didn't show anything wrong in the pancreas. plus he

wants an ercp done by another dr. chief of gastro at

another teaching hospital.

my regular gastro dr. can't perform the ercp himself

unfortunetly.

so I'm very confused and anxious about this new gyno

dr. who didn't do what I orignally thought she

should've done.

I'm wondering if all this weight loss is due to

something gynocologically going on, or is the gastro

part of it?

Maybe it's both?

I was shocked when my dr. told me I had cp. I don't

have oil in my stools, or loose bowl movements. I do

have some pain on and off and nauseua after eating

certain foods and at sporatic times.

the fat did show postive in the stool sample which

makes my dr. think it's postive for cp if they find

the fat in the stool.

is this true?

do doctors automatically diagnosis a patient with cp

if fat shows up in the stool? my dr. said I have

malabsorption.

wouldn' t my blood test show low levels of potassium

and other important levels of depletion with

malabsorption?

I am having sever un intentional weight loss.

everyone sufferes that here. I'm assuming.

i would like to know if other folks here suffer with

the weight loss issue and is that what sent some to

the dr. which lead them to wind up seeing a gastro

doc. after many visits with other drs. not knowing

what was really wrong?

I am so confused about this illness.

S.
