Kimber,

Hi, it's S.

I'm fairly new here but have been speaking with Heidi

about her dental situation. My biggest fear has

happened to Heidi and now I hear you are afflicted

with this problem also.

I am deeply sorry for you, but see that they are doing

everything possible for you to prevent it from

detoriating further.

I hear it happens quicly once it starts.

How can anyone affford the bills for these procedures?

My insurance hasn't gone through yet. I just joined up

with one through our company. the employees have to

pay 100% of the premiums.

it's cheaper for the entire company rather than doing

it solo.

I am very anxious to get myself to a dentist to see

what's going on with the changes in my teeth. I'm very

worried over this.

but I can't afford to even pay for an initial

examination without the insurance to back me up.

so I haven't gone for even a cleaning I'm ashamed to

say for three yrs since my last.

I try to take care of them myself. I purchased a

dental pick to clean the plague off the inner teeth

and between them, besides just using dental floss, I

figured anytype of diligent work like this on my part

would prevent the teeth from becoming worst.

I apologize for speaking so forward about a delicate

subject such as cleaning our teeth. but my teeth are

important to me.

it's not gross for me to talk about it.

my young adult children who were taken off their

fathers insurance once they reached 18, haven't been

able to go to the dentist either.

it's very expensive to walk through a dentists office

here in westchester, NY just for an evaluation and

cleaning.

my 22 yr.old son works, but they don't give him any

benefits.

we need our governement to assist more people who

don't have insurances. It's like finding a needle in

a haystack for assistance.

his back teeth are crumbling and one of them were

actually infected.

I felt so horrible as a mother that I can't afford to

pay for them to see a dentist. I can't afford it for

myself.

I didn't know that chronic pancreatitis itself causes

bone decay in our mouth but I thought that

malabsorption itself was the culprit.

do you have malabsorption too?

does everyone diagnosed with cp have malabsorption

too? or is it just some?

I would like to know the answer to this question and

hope others answer to this.

How long have you been suffereing with cp?

I hope they are able to stop the progression for you

Kimber.

sincerely.

S.
