Guest guest
Hello everyone Been a while since I have written in. I changed my email settings for a while because my mail box was being bombbarded with other junk. Well, yes my stent is finally out. I did have some pain up to the end and after I got it out, I got another attack. Thank god for my Vicodin tabs. Took care of the pain. Did not want to go to the e/r again if I didn't have to. Well, got the go ahead from my GI specialist to return to wrk. Put everyone on notice that flare ups can happen from time to time. There are no guarantees with this condition. They all understand. Just have to make sure I have my pain meds with me at all times. Been watching what I eat and drink. Drinking mainly large mugs of ice water most of the day and through the night. keeps my system clear. When i had my stent taken out, the Dr noticed several light brown spots on the inside of my stomach. He took biopsies of 4 of them and sent them off to be read. Came back as minor stomach irritation. I am just glad that there is no malignancy. Probably the beginnings of an ulcer of some kind, I don't know. I also have ant acids to take when I need to to calm the stomach down. I am so tired of having abdominal pain, that it gets depressing at times. Just want to lay down and die sometimes, it gets so tiring. Well enough chatting from me, Hope all is well with everyone and will change my email settings to individual and keep up with the group. Hugs, Bache --------------------------------- Yahoo! Guest guest
, we all get depressed about this disease from time to time. It's perfectly normal for that, but if you ever noticie that it doesn't lift after a week or so, it's time to think about an anti depressant. Most of us are on an antidepressant of some kind. I've been on one since 1988 and it helps a great deal. I still get those momentary depressions, but it doesn't stay there for long. Keep in touch and let us know how you do. I hope this stenting provides you with significant pain relief. I also drink alot of water/juice when I am recouping from a bout. I only eat as tolerated, if I can. Hang in there.
