Guest guest
That is an interesting question and quite a bit of food for thought. For years I ran a low grade temp, well the years I had active pancreatitis. I went through all the tests and they even sent me to see an infectious disease specialist to find out why. He found nothing. However, after my total I never ran another temp again as was back down to my normal 97's (until this infectio). Well if you think about it. the term 'itis' represents an infectious/immune response in the body; ie pancreatitis. Therefor, as logic would presume, any antibiotics would alleviate part of that immune response that one would have with pancretitis. However since the pancreas is such a significant organ and its 'itis' is generally cuased by something internal(damage to the organ) the antibiotcs could then just reduce and sign and symptoms. If you think about how antibiotics work, they attack all bacteria and infectious agents attacking the body. That is why so many people get yeast infections while on them. Yet having an active abdominal infection without the normal cardinal responses of increased white blood cells, fever, etc would be highly unlikely. It is how our body is supposed to naturally fight off invaders, foreign bacteria. Its all part of our parasympatheic nervous system or is it sympathetic, I forget. Either way, our bodies will go into fight infection mode at the first sign of a problem, even if it just a pin prick from the thorn of a rose. Unless of course one has AIDS which leaves one with diminished immune fighting system; fewer fighter T cells etc. OK, now I have to fuss at you. When you are given antibiotics you have to finish the entire dose. You said you had some left over and took them for a toothache. When you dont fishing the entire dose the fighter t's cells will back off because they have no support system. The bacteria will then learn what the t's cells had assiting them and build a resistence to it. That is what causes a super infection. The big issue that we in our community have now with that very thing is antibiotic resitent TB, MRSA and VRE. But it can also occur in any individual who does not beat down all the invading bacteria, they can come back stronger and possibly be resisent to antibotics. So when you are given an anti bi, girl you better finish the entire dose, dont make me come up there...LOL Love,
