Hi everyone,

I'm now properly back on board after my long gap, for which I

apologise.

Things have been difficult because of my husband's condition.

Although the outlook seemed excellent before his operation and he

has recovered brilliantly from the surgery, the tests show that he

probably has a minute number of cancer cells left. They may be local

and treatable by radiotherapy, or systemic (having spread elsehere

in body) and need different treatment. We have to wait a few months

to monitor. I think the disappointment and the recent worry about

this just pulled me right down and I stopped posting for a while.

The consultant is excellent and has kept me as calm as possible and

I'm now trying to resume normal living! After all, Jim is feeling

as fit as a fiddle and the signs (PSA of 0.2) are of very early

things happening in a slowly-progressing disease.

Sorry...just wanted to explain my gap. I'll just slot back in (if

you'll have me!) and try to take up from this point. I don't think I

can go back over all the intervening posts but I'll read as many as

poss. I also spend a lot of time on a prostate cancer support board

now.

How is everyone?! I need to find out how all my friends are

progressing and also see if my own case might of help or interest to

some new patients.

I am not well at all just now but stress doesn't help, of course.

Love and warm wishes to all,

Fliss (UK)
