I began the SCD diet today. My daughter is 3 years old and has

Autism. I have a question about the drinks. So far, I have only given

her purfied water and diluted grape juice. I will continue to keep

her diet dairy free. Is she able to have almond or rice milk in her

diet at this time or at any point at a later date?

Thanks for your input,

Debbie

Rice milk is not permitted at any time. Almond milk is permitted after the

intro diet, but must be made at home. See pecanbread.com's recipe section for

insttructions on making nut milk.

Debbie,

Welcome to our list. Below is a list of ready made drinks.

Home made almond milk will be OK when your daughter will be able

tolerate the nut products. I would wait a while before trying nut

products. Rice milk is NOT ALLLOWED, I am so glad that you are trying

SCD, please let us know of your child's progress.
