Guest guest
I had the great pleasure of meeting Angie of Sc today. She and I have the same surgeon and luckily are appts were on the same day. We had emailed one and other about it and even told each other what we were going to wear to make sure we could find us. Well as luck would have it I was called back before she had come in. However, I am a old hat there and when I had finished with the doc I asked the staff if she had gotten there and the nurse made sure we met when Angie was finished. Well she is a very attractive and lovely young woman. Her signature comment at the end of each of her emails and posts certainly does depict her well. She has a very warm smile and is just as positive in person as she is in her post. It was hard to believe that she had just has major surgery 2 weeks ago. We could only chat for afew minutes as we had other things to do and poeple with us. I immediately felt very comfortable talking with her and I am sure had we not had other things on our plates we could have talked for along time. I hope that I can meet her again, under more pleasant circumstances, as I am sure it would be a lot of fun. So now I feel truly blessed. I have met quite a few members. First Cyndi J, then Heidi on more then a few occasions and from TN who I love so dearly and her adorable 4 year old and then G of ton who was so very kind to visit me in the hospital the last time I was admitted (she was also so generous as to give me a georgous orchid that is still blooming)and now Angie. I could never ever forget the wonderful time I had in Ohio when Lily and came to visit me. I have also spoken on the phone with many other members. Darren, dear sweet Fliss, and Bridgitte (who I have been very concerned about and have not spoken to as I got very sick after I had called her in the hospital and could not get back in touch with her I pray she is doing alright). It is so wonderful to be able to meet and share our experiences with one and other. Sometimes this disease can make us feel so isolated and being able to comisserate so to speak with one and other on this board and elsewhere has been a life saver for me. If any of ya'll ever get a chance to meet up, do. Hoping all of ya'll are doing well. Warmly,
