Question on pancratitis and the gene C F

I can't see any reason why a person with the CF gene couldn't have a

pancreas transplant, or a TP/ICT. I suppose the ICT would depend on the

condition of

their islets.

Someone who actually has the condition of CF rather than just carrying the

gene, would be at increased risk of developing diabetes due to their CF.

People who actually have CF, do have lungs or heart / lungs transplant - so

why not a pancreas?

I am wondering if any of you know if a person can have a pancreas

transpland or even the TP/ICT if they carry the gene C F?

Also, Karyn, my sister saw a news special on TV about there being so

many pancreas available in Indianapolis. Do you know any thing about

this and how would one find out about it?
