Thanks Heidi, (& Mark),

I used Internet Explorer for my earlier post today, and it does display

correctly

on the board, without having to select " unwrap lines " . So like you, I'll try to

remember to use IE when I post, even though as you say it is antiquainted

since Microsoft no longer updates the Mac version. Interestingly, when I tried

to print a hard copy as an example, the printed text still wraps-and-orphans,

but prints with correct format if I copy/paste it to TextEdit. As you said,

previewing a post is no guarantee; a post with Safari can look fine in preview,

but still wrap-&-orphan when I post it on the board. Maybe the new version of

Safari updated for Tiger (OS 10.4) will work better. If any Mac users have

updated to Tiger I'd be interested to know if it solves this problem. As a test

I'm using IE for this post too. This time I'm leaving the " Wrap MessageText "

box checked, to see if it posts correctly.

I was sorry to hear your reunion trip was largely spoiled by pain. I had a few

bad days on my recent trip to Minnesota/Dakotas but only serious problem

was diarrhea which I've not had otherwise, so I attribute it to something

tainted

on the (otherwise) great salad bar at a restaurant in the Black Hills where I

sampled several things my wife's diet won't tolerate, such as pickled herring.

Used to like it once in a while and California buffets or salad bars never have

it--not enough scandinavians here I guess. Told my high school class email

coordinator I'm going to try to make our class' 50th reunion next year in Wis.

I'm awaiting another CT scan in July for a decision on an operation to drain

pseudocysts. Even if surgeon & I agree to proceed, the nurses are expected

to hold a strike vote soon against all Univ of Ca hospitals, which would likely

delay any non-emergency procedure.

I am praying for quick and lasting relief for you, and the many others who are

suffering. Lord-willing we'll both make some future reunions.

Kurt (CA)
