Guest guest
Hello to Everyone, The " old fogeys " may have heard this story before. I had a stent placed in late 1999. Due to pressure variances in my pancreatic ducts (Yep, that does happen) it lodged in a duct. TO make a long story short, It took a three hour procedure to remove it. The doc had to lasso it with a fine wire loop. I had quite a long hospital stay after that. And it wasn't the docs fault. These thing happen. Moral of the story: ERCPs are like everything else. Random events happen. Even the best physician can face BIG problems inside your pancreas, depending on your anatomical quirks and whatever may be happening inside there. Thanks, Jerry/NC
