Guest guest
My friend Kim is still in ICU, but improved. Her husband has not told me the doctor's name. But I do agree with a previous post, an ERCP can have complications, and although rare, they can happen. I am sure Kim's doc is a good one (or he would not be in the Sherman/Leman group). But all doctors doing such difficult procedures will have some patients that will not do well....he knicked her bowel, why I still do not know. I felt awful because I sent her there (although I told her to se Dr. Sherman or Dr. Lehman)instead of Northwestern, which was her first choice...and then to have this happen, it just makes me sick. Now we have to concentrate on her getting well. Any doc that performs ERCP has had a patient at sometime have a complication....many we never heard about. So I would still go to IU, and will hope I am not in that small percentage that has complications. Thanks again for the prayers, Debbie
