Guest guest
Jill, Yes I was referring to the cystic fibrosis gene. My daugher has pancreatitis and going thru some tests the doctor discovered that she carries the C F gene. As far as I know as of right now she does not have C F but is a carrier of the gene. She was told that she got the gene thru her father and I at birth. I have never really understood it all, but had been wondering if she had the opportunity to have a pancreas transplant would that gene cause her to be unable to have the transplant. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I seem to remember her saying that she could not have certain things done because she carries this gene. I have tried to have my son to get tested for it also but of course being a male, he wont. I do know it can be passed down to their children. I will read the site you put up and thank you for your interest. Fondly, Jean
