Guest guest
I have been reading your posts and I am so very sorry that you are still having pain. I think seeing a gasteroentologist is an extremely wise move. Ask the surgeon to refer you to somebody who is well trained in diagnosing pancreatic disease. If he is not willing to do that, then tell him cya. Please dont let anybody cut on your pancreas until you have been properly diagnosed. A gasteroentologist who is well trained in pancreatic disease can perform what is called an ERCP. This test is the only way to truly findo out if you have the disease or not. There are other tests which are helpful, one is an MRCP and the other is an EUS. I dont know of any GI panc docs in LA but maybe somebody else does. There is also a doctors database available on this web site; look and see if there are any from your area that other members have seen. you need further testing and seeing a GI is the first step in determining what is going on with you. I wish you all the best and if there is anything I can help with please dont hesitate for one second. Warmly, in SC
