Crockpot question in general

My mom did not own a crockpot, and I have only owned one for a few years. My

kids hate everything I have cooked in it! Excuse my ignorance, but can you do

anything with a crockpot besides mushy, soupy meals? That was the complaint

from all 3. I keep thinking life would be easier if I could use the darn thing,

but I really don't know what to do with it.

i am pretty new to the crockpot thing... the first thing i cooked was osso

bucco which

audrey did not like because of the texture but i insisted she eat it and offered

an

alternative i knew she hated... the second time i offered it to her it was much

the same

response. then the third time i offered it she did not resist much at all and

from then on

she has been asking for it - she really loves the taste now she has got over the

whole

texture thing! maybe you could try to persist?

the only other thing i use mine for is making 24 hour beef stock or 12 hour

chicken stock.

there are alot of crockpot recipes on allrecipes.com (although not scd legal of

course!) - if

you browse you might be able to see what is possible and go from there?
