Guest guest
Kris, That is so sweet! I forgot where in Tennesee you live. Athens is just 11 miles from the Alabama/Tennessee state line on I-65. Most of the time when I'm in the hospital I have my laptop but this time I was only in from Thursday to Saturday so I never did have my husband bring the laptop. Hopefully I can stay out of the hospital for a while. We have got a lot going on. I've got a doctor's appt in B'ham this afternoon. After that I'm going to my daughter's in Montevallo (30 miles south of B'ham) to help her and and her husband get started packing. They are moving to an apartment in Birmingham on July 9th so they can be closer to their jobs. For a couple that has only been married just over a year, they have got a LOT of STUFF! They have a pretty large two bedroom apartment and it is full to the gills! I especially dread having to pack the crystal they got as wedding gifts. They'll have the new apartment starting July 1st and it's only abut 2 miles from where works so I'm going to suggest that he bring a carload of the more fragile stuff each day and bring it to the apartment when he gets off work. Nikki is currently working at the University of Montevallo as a resident advisor with the Upward Bound program (a program for high school students) so she has to spend the night at the college dorm Sunday - Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. So, there's no reason for to hurry home from work since Nikki will be at the college anyway. Her job ends on July 8th, they move on the 9th, and then her first teacher workshop for her new teaching job is July 27th. At least she'll have time to get settled in their new apartment before she has to start getting her classroom ready and all the things a new teacher has to do! She'll be teaching 6th-8th grade english/language arts and she is so excited, but also terrified. Well, gotta get my butt moving. I probably won't be posting for a while. Oh, we're also supposed to go to Bud's sister's house, outside Atlanta, on Saturday til Monday. Wish me luck to be able to hold up to all we have going on the next couple of weeks! hope this finds everyone having a good day. W
