Ahh Debs,

Now every time you speak of your mum I'm going to image a rotweiller

in my mind.....what a silly picture! I'm glad that she's been there

for you, though, if she hadn't stepped up to the plate and started

taking care of things for her baby chick, or should I say, young

pup, you might have been in far worse condition under the hands

of the nazi then you already are.

Tell Colin to put his head back straight on and to forget everything

that doctor told him. He knows what meds have worked for you in the

past and he'll eventually come around, once he sees that the new

doctor is better and is actually the one who knows how to help you.

Or you could go find a nasty bloke to pop him really hard a few times

in the abdomen and then tell HIM to suck it up.....oh, no, no, no, I

wouldn't ever condone that, but you might describe that to him, and

then ask him how he'd feel after having that done how he'd feel if

someone told him to just " suck it up " . He'll change his tune.

When the pain managment doctor first started me on Neurontin, it was

only 300 mgs., twice a day, too. Then 2 weeks later he went up to

600 mgs., twice a day. Then a month later he increased it up to

1,800 mgs, which is what I'm taking now. I take 2 - 600 mg.

tablets in the morning and one at night. It initially made me so

sleepy and drowsy in the afternoons and early evening that I was

falling asleep in the middle of conversations, so he also prescribed

me something for narcolepsy, called Provigil. Eventually, those

side effects wore off as I became adjusted to the higher dosages,

and the doctor says that I could take much higher amounts without

harm if I want to, so I'm considering going up another 600 mgs.

to see if it would help with some of the pain I've been having

recently, instead of going back up on my duragesic.

Interesting to see what they do with your scope, now that you've

asked for sedation at the last minute. Just hope they don't hit you

over the head with it for giving them a switch at the last minute

like that! I hope all goes well. If it's an ulcer, tell them to

send the bill to the nazi, he's the one who caused it!

Take care, and let us know how the scope went.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
