Subject: I'm better, and hope this won't jinx it.......

and send me crashing back into " paincreatitis " as Peg Bates calls it.

My dear friend Heidi and all my new and ol friends alike,

I first apologize for not posting as often as I would like but I do try to

stay in the loop, second how I sympathize with you about crashing into

" PAINcreatitis, as I think this disease should be renamed. I am so very happy

to

hear the you are again enjoying good days.

For Brandan following the PAINcreatectomy he is no longer afflicted with

the horrific attacks of the disease, but surely and unfortunately he lives with

the reprecussions of having this disease still, three years following his

surgery. He lives still with what has been called " residual pain " , but it has

recently been brought to our attention his spleen is enlarged and possibly can

be

the culprit of some of his pain. Brandan also has what is called a " fatty

liver " which in most cases it is because his islets are transplanted there.

Although Brandan is thriving, and has gained weight, eating at times still

brings

discomfort, but he is eatting and at times enjoying his food. He is also not

Diabetic which considering he only had 129,000 islets, it truly is a miracle.

So as you see our journey continues, and I am always grateful that I have my

friends who got me through so much those many years ago and sometimes get me

through the day.

Life unfortunately sometimes dosent allow me the luxury of " TIME " ,, but I

treasure this site and all of you for staying by our side on our journey.

My Dear Heidi, I truly hope you have a " GREAT DAY " and enjoy those

fireworks. I truly believe that all any of us can do is take things " ONEDAY " at

time,

for truly its all anyone has, for no one is promised tomorrow! Enjoy the

good and just get through the bad, sometimes its all we can do! I think of you

all, and know I am watching in the wings and if there is anything I can do,

please dont hesitate to ask. For I owe you all, that and so much more!!!!

Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe, July 4th. with " GOOD " days for all!!!!!!!!

As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers....Keep

smiling (cuz sometimes its all one can do!) TTFN... : )
