Guest guest
At the end of this week, we will be traveling for three days, with capability to heat up, but not to cook anything. The recent posts were very helpful about travel ideas! Anyone have any thoughts on good lacto-ovo vegetarian foods that travel well? I am planning to bring mushroom quiche, " 's pizza " , pan-friend artichokes, parmesan crackers, and lots of fruit, veggies and cheese. It seems a bit sparse on " real food " ..... Thanks for any help, Ellen 9 y/o dd scd since 5/06 for crohn's

Guest guest
Hi Sheila, You mention " nut free dairy free " bread. That sounds GREAT, since one of my other kids is allergic to nuts. I tried searching for a recipe, but just got a lot of bad links. Do you have a good link, or even just an approximation of ingredients used?! Thanks! Guest guest
Hi and Ellen, <<> I'm not Sheila, but the recipe is in the files. > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/files/ > Scroll down until you find " nut free dairy free bread " .>> I added onto the recipe today. #1 in the instructions. I started using avocado and find it makes the best bread - not too moist and great flavour. When I get some free time (ha ha) I plan to fiddle with this a little more. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I just perfected (if that's ever possible) my own Avocado bread Recipe. I just sent it to scdrecipe.com. It should be on the site within 10 days or so. I'll go ahead and post it on pecanbread so you all can start using it right away.
