Guest guest
So lets make this an offical cyber handshake..lol. I think you hit it right on the head about your son. Mine is just like that except when I was in the hospital he called me several times a day and would come and visit often. He even called me in the ICU at Cincy to tell me about a TV show that we like and I had missed. He always knows when I am feeling bad he can see it in my eyes. I think it just frustrates the dickens out of him. He also has a lot of the IBS symtoms tht I used to have at his age. Even tho I had several panc attacks (undiagnosed) when I was much younger then he I sometimes wonder if he will inherit my condition and have talked to him about not drinking. That really ticks him off. Anyway my girls are very supportive I guess its a gilr think, natural born caregivers. Most of the men I have seen in my profession do have a difficult time dealing with illnesses, doctors and hospitals whether it be they who are the patient or a loved one. Men always seem to try to fix everythiing and when they can not it bothers them, control issues I suppose. I saw the doc today and he said again that it will take while to get over all this. He reminded me how much I have been through and I reminded him that I am not a very patient patient. I ran out of pain meds last weekend and had a awful time. He wrote for a ton of Oxy, so that should last a while. I wanted to get something milder because the oxy makes me so stupid. He wrote for some Ultram and I took one as soon as I could, did'nt do a thing. Maybe in a few weeks it will be better. How are you feeling? Stronger? I hope so. Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. Raising children is so difficult when one is unwell and they simply dont understand. I feel guilty sometimes but its nice to know that I am not the only one and my kids wont turn out to be total whack jobs because of it. Your's sound great.
