Lessons from the Front: Dietary, Biomedical and Survival Experience from

Parents and Practitioners

As a parent of a child with autism, and as a both a nutritional and

educational practitioner in the field, Judy has spent many years tapping

into the vast wealth of knowledge of the doctors, other health

practitioners, educators and parents she has met along the way. Lessons

from the Front is her opportunity to share things she never knew she'd need

to know, the survival techniques she has developed and the pearls she has

collected since her son's diagnosis in 1996. From positive personal

experience with the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and watching promising

biomedical treatments, as well seeing other families' success with special

diets and therapies, this show will provide interviews, theory, recipes, and

helpful hints to help move your child forward on the road of recovery. Judy

Chinitz, MS, MS

is a graduate of Columbia University and has an M.S in Nutrition and an M.S.

in Special Education. Currently she is practicing both privately and in the

office of Dr. Giuseppina Feingold, in Mahopac, NY, consultant to families

with children with developmental disabilities. Along with Dr. Sidney Baker,

a co-founder of Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!), Judy is the co-founder of

Medigenesis, an Internet-based interactive medical database

(www.medigenesis.com or via the website of the Autism Research Institute,

www.autism.medigenesis.com). Judy recently published a book on the

Specific Carbohydrate Diet (with commentary by Dr. Baker), We Band of

Mothers: Autism, My Son and The Specific Carbohydrate Diet. " .
