I have done well so far and hope to at least continue for as long as

possible.

You certainly have Poncho and I hope it last forever and ever. May I

ask what analgesics you are taking. I am on oxycodone now and I hate

the way it makes me feel. I am so so so stupid..LOL I asked my doc if

there was something else that I could take that was nonnarcotic and he

wrote for Ultram as well but it doesn't do anything. I hope that as I

heal it will tho. But if an analgesic helps you maybe I can give it a

shot.

I know you live in GA but I am not exactly sure where. I truely do

hope that you will not have any of the bad effects that Hurricane

Dennis is going to bring to the folks in the Gulf area. I know how

they feel and my prayers are with them all.

Warmly,

Hi ,

Thanks for your concern about the hurricane Dennis, I live in Atlanta and we

just expect rain, thunderstorms, and maybe a little wind this far north of

it's pending landfall.

As for anylgesics, I take Loritab (generic hydrocodine) 7.5 This is I think 7

miligrams of Codine and a little aspirn or generic " Tylenol " .

My usual dosage is one tab at onset and if needed another tab in one hour or

four hours. I find for me it takes about that long to evaluate the extent of

the episode. During an episode I generally don't eat but do try to sip clear

liquids if I can tolorate them easily. If I feel I'm going into an episode I do

take a Loritab and then try to really get immobile. I'm sure that sometimes I

have begun medication when it isn't needed but I'm also sure that getting

anylgesics into the system early is so beneficial for me that I choose to risk

taking the occational tab that might not really be needed. I also feel that my

physical response to hydroconine is textbook classic and that might not apply to

others just due to differences of individual response.

My objective is to minimize the severity and duration of an episode and then

recover as soon as possible. It's a seesaw but that's the way Panc. is for me.

Please ask any other questions you might have.

best wishes, Poncho - GA
