Guest guest
Thanks for the information Audra. No I'm not going to the party, but I will surly drop in on a clinic visit. It's getting so close to Christmas I'm having a hard time trying to get everything done that needs to be, but this is very important to me so I will just have to work it in. Again thanks for the info....MGBWanttaBe////////Bonnie Audra Canfield wrote: > > Hey guys, > > Hope everyone is well! Guest guest
Joni, Don't think so. I was a self pay but I weighed over 300 so I had to go to Durham Regional. Guest guest
Not necessarily true. I was self-pay and had mine at the hospital. I believe the three criteria for having it done at are: under 40 yrs old, under 300 lbs, and few comorbidities. > > In a message dated 12/5/00 5:19:40 AM Pacific Standard Time, > rsrchcoord@... writes: > > > > It is my understanding that Dr. R selects those under 300 with minimal > > comorbidities to be patients at . Guest guest
From what I hear nothing... Except maybe price if you're a self-pay. You see if you have any complications they can take care of you better at the hospital.. if you're over 300 lbs. or over a certain age, there might be more chance of complictions.. Guest guest
I was self-pay and was at the hospital, not . In part it depends on risk factors -- over 40 yrs, over 300 lbs., more comorbidities=hospital. In part it's the luck of the draw; I wanted the first available date in a specific timeframe, and that day Dr. Rutledge was operating at the hospital. This was fine for me, since recently uncomplicated MGB's at the hospital turned out to be cheaper than (although you have to put up a larger deposit up front). I haven't yet received my refund from the hospital, but will report when i do. Guest guest
Jon, I called the finance department at the hospital because I had not received a bill. I was also self pay and with the decline in charges was curious if I had a refund to look forward to. The representative told me my final bill was $8800. and change and that she would send my bill to the " refund area " and that I would be receiving a refund of $2200. That was two weeks ago and I haven't received anything yet. Wondering what your experience was in the refund department. Let me know. Oh, I had my surgery 09-29-00. I don't know how much time has to elapse but it didn't sound like they would have spontaneously prompted a refund. Thanks, Tarri in Missouri MGB 09-29-00 329/275 Re: VS DRH > I was self-pay and was at the hospital, not . > > In part it depends on risk factors -- over 40 yrs, over 300 lbs., more comorbidities=hospital. Guest guest
I was not self-pay and I was at . Since both Durham Regional and were in network, I chose and told my insurance co that was where it was being done. Then I had to get it okayed by the Doc. is okay for those of us who are on the lower end of the risk scale.
