Guest guest
Hello Shelia: I just read your post. I'm sorry you are having problems! About the weight thingy, yes, I have a weight problem. And I really don't understand how I can. I'm not a good eater, and even my daughters ask me how when I don't eat much, why I'm still kinda " chubby " . Got me! I thought as long as I'm sick with cp, I'd be loosing weight, wrong! They even included me in a study at Ohio State about over- weight people with pancreatitis & on TPN! I was kinda embarrassed about it, but if it can help others, then go for it, I said! I was just dx with diabetis in March, and my doc is on me to loose weight, but how? I ask him, how? I also have thyroid problems. After I had my twins in 1990, for some reason my thyroid when whacky, and it was extremely over-active, so they killed it with radio-active-iodine, and now it is very, extremely under-active. Only me! I do take thyroid replacement pills, but still. Who knows! Good luck to you! And welcome to the group. If you need anything there are so many smart people here that someone will know the answer to most anything! My name is Shelia and I have SOD which of course has led to chronic pancreatitis. So far I have only had one endoscopic sphincterotomy although my doc is fairly certain I will eventually require a sphincteroplasty? as there is ductal involvement as well... I also have diastolic heart failure exacerbated I am sure by the fact that I am morbidly obese, I thought to reach this stage I would be skinny, does anyone else have a weight problem. Thank you very much, Shelia
