Hi . I think about you all the time. I remember how devastated

you were to hear the news about your liver. You had asked if a fatty

liver can inprove or heal. I tried very hard to find the answer to

that question. I went through all my books and searched the internet

and found nothing. The other day I decided to defer to a

specialist. I emailed a hepatologist and the director of the liver

transplantion team at MUSC asking him about that.

I used to assist him with liver biopsies about 5 years ago and we

became friends. A year or so ago my BIL's ex girlfriend found out

she had hep C and was extrememly upset. She tried to get an appt

with him and the wait was almost 6 months. I emailed and asked if he

could squeeze her in a little earlier. He saw her 3 weeks later. My

BIL and her broke up a long time ago so I dont know how she is doing,

shoot I never even met her face to face. But that doctor is a very

nice man. Anyway as soon as I hear something I will let you know.

I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time. I pray for you

every day. You said that you had a sphincteroplasty and

ductoplasty. Were these done in the OR with an open cut or where

they done endoscopically? Did you say that you had talked with your

doctors in Cincy about a Whipple? What ever came of all that?

Sorry for al the questions but I have not heard much from you and

have been concerned. I truly hope you feel better and will let you

know if I hear back from that liver doctor at MUSC.

Warmly,
