Guest guest
Actually Lily the same thing happened to me in regard to the fatty liver. When I had my first mrcp they found that mine was fatty (they didn't say what percentage). I asked the pancreatologist I was seeing then about it and he looked me straight in the eye and said " tht is because you are fat " . I have lost a ton of weight (about the size of most supermodels or hollywood starlets...LOL) and my fatty liver had cleared up. I thought it was just a fluke because I couldn't find any info at the time, and still, that states that in any literature. Good for you for standing up to that nurse. Being a nurse myself and having met you I dont think I would want to be on that receiving end *S*. Sorry about the hubby injury, girl you are gonna have a hard time with that too. Men are such babies. Hope you can figure out what is the allergy you son has. Are you giving him any benedryl to help with the itiching? Mine son has a horrible allergic reation to any bee stings and other bugs and I keep an epi pen handy. Has he been checked for insect stings? I am so glad you are doing well. I'm getting there but this surgery has kicked my butt even more then the others. Hard to believe huh. Well take care of yourself and your hubby but for Gods sake dont give that man a bell when he gets home. You will end up wanting to shove it someplace he wont want anything shoved. Guest guest
Than you for all the insight on the fatty liver. I just had an ultra sound and my diagnosis was Echogenic liver most consistent with a fatty liver. I am concern because I am on Cymbalta and it is the only medicine that really has helped me. Thank you again for the research on the " Fatty Liver. "
Guest guest
Has anyone heard of any connection between ant-depressant medications and fatty liver? Just curious. Guest guest
Here is Cymbalta's website. While it says that its contraindicated if you're drinking heavily (if you're drinking heavily and you're on this list, you probably know you should be trying to stop!) or have active liver disease (with elevated enzymes) I can't find anything in that huge long really long prescribing information thing about fatty liver. Anybody else care to look, maybe I missed it? http://www.cymbalta.com/index.jsp Margaret > > Has anyone heard of any connection between ant-depressant medications > and fatty liver?
