Guest guest
Hi , <<How will I know when my child's gut is sufficiently healed? When die off is complete? Just making sure I have this straight. >> It is probably best for you to start with the ASD (dairy free intro) and do that a few days. Since you were CF prior to SCD starting with the dairy intro (cheesecake etc.) you may confuse regular die off reactions to intolerance of dairy. After the intro let me know what changes/ symptoms you are having and we can figure it out together. It is very much an individual case 'thing'. <<Also, where does aged goat cheese fall in as far as when to introduce?>> I think that in your case goat yogurt would be better to try first, but double check after the intro is done and die of subsides. If by aged you mean cheddar (goat mild or medium) they are good choices. Old goat cheddar is something to wait a while longer on. << It seems a lot of people use that as well. We have been GFCFSF along with my son as it's not fair to eat what he can't and my husband is salivating at the possibility of goat cheese almond crust pizza!>> Pizza does sound good doesn't it?
