We are starting chelation soon although we haven't decided which

method to use yet. Our MD ND will offer us choices but I just want to

be well informed by experienced parents. Our sons are 3.9 years and

are on the spectrum. SCD has helped tremendously, especially with

sensory issues and language obviously from the gut healing. We have

noticed some regressive behaviours lately but the language has not

regressed nor the sensory issues.

Our DAN MD ND wants to start the detox of the heavy metals but I won't

start until I hear enough from other parents. He says this will help

the diet work better and move healing along quicker.

I would appreciate any advice or info on different chelation methods.

Has anyone found clay baths helpful? I know I really need to get them

fully detoxed. I am just afraid of agressive detox that will cause

side affects.

Thank you for all you help.

We have had a great experience with chelating our son. We are on a chelation

break though...partly due to finances, and partly due to yeast issues creeping

back in. It is fairly common, I hear, for the yeast to sneak back in on you due

to chelating. That being said, the oral chelation methods are rougher on the

gut, and thus cause the yeast problem quicker and more severely, I hear. We

chose transdermal chelation with DMPS, and DMPS sapositories. It has done

wonder for our son.
