Guest guest
Suzanne, Thanks - I feel better than I have in years. It's normal to be excited and scared all at the same time. This is a major surgery with major life style changes. If someone wasn't nervous I'd be worried about how well they had researched the process. Call me at work if you need an ear. . Guest guest
thanks Tarri I just want to thank you for the response. I am ready for most of the changes... I already take many vitamins, and I haven't had a drink for 15-16 years and I quit smoking 10 years ago, when my most major weight problems commenced. so I quit caffeine about 4 months ago. I am stocking up on v-8, and other stuff.. I am double checking everything to make sure it is all in order. I still need and EKG and more recent bloodwork. I have been collecting receipes for those smoothies post-op and figuring out how to take the carafate,, which most people seem to dislike.. someone told me to keep it by my bed and/with water as soon as I go to bed and as soon as I wake up inthe morning to take a dose. thanks for your ear!!!!lol Suzanne

I have taken it for a long time periodically. It really has no taste at all. Shake it up very, very well however as the active ingredients settle out easily. Do Not, take it with water or other liquids however! Carafate bonds with the lining of your esophagus and stomach, helping to protect it. Following it with a drink of anything will wash it away from the lining. Really, it does not taste awful, just different. And it is just for a short while. If it tasted like road kill I would still take it, after all I'm getting something soooooo much better in return and it is for the short term. Guest guest
I agree 100%. I don't mind the taste of it. It is only 2t at a time and I have had a lot of cough syrup that tasted worse. ~Mich
