Angie,

Thanks for reminding me about the Glucopen. I had one and it expired. I need

to get a replacement. Usually I realize that I am low at about 44. I do

carry glucose tablets as well as a small bottle of high carb pure grapefruit

juice. I am also diligent about wearing my medic alert bracelet, just in case.

Two of the sessions at the Symposium are focused on pancreatitis and

diabetes. One will be delivered by an Endocrinologist. The other is a joint

event by

two Certified Diabetes Educators, one an RN (nurse), the other an RD

(dietitian). They are all so knowledgeable. It is refreshing to finally meet

healthcare professionals who understand that we are dealing with a slightly

different disease process than traditional type 1 and type 2 diabetics.

Thanks again for your post. I appreciate it.
