Guest guest
Hi all.I usually just lurk-I have a 21 yr old daughter with hereditary pancreatitis. She's been thru alot, and I thank God I found this wonderful group. As a caregiver, support is a life saver sometimes. The reason I decided to post,is because I've noticed alot of people searching for nausea releif with out drowsiness. My daughter's wonderful GI doc told us about a " Releif Band " .It's used by people who get air sick when they fly.It looks like a watch and is worn on the wrist like one.It sends electrical impulses into nerves in the wrist and we have found it to immediatly and tremendously reduce nausea and also seems to help with pain relief. The only " side effect " is a rash after prolonged use,but the benefits far out weigh this slight discomfort. It runs on watch batteries and comes with a gel to help conduct elec impulses. We ordered ours on line-I can't remember the name of the web site, but I think if you search Relief Band, you'll find it.I truly hope this helps someone.I know my daughter considers th nausea to be almost as bad as the pain.Thoughts and prayers for pain-free days,anne-Chrissy's mom
Guest guest
Wow that sounds like a great product. I would like to give it a try. I will do a search on it and see what I find. Thanks for sharing! Angie in SC " The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way. Guest guest
Thanks for the great advice. I had never thought of the motion sickness wrist bands though I have seen them. I will definately try one. K.
