Guest guest
Heidi, I am in Aiken, but I am in North Aiken. Right on the border near I-20. My hubby actually works in ston which is right beside Edgefield and it is only a 20 min. ride from my house. Downtown Aiken is about the same distance. We live in the middle of nowhere! My hubby is a mailman and so the drive is not bad at all for him. The only thing he doesn't like is that right now all of those peach orchard tractors are in his way! Oh and I got a call from the doc with the nutty receptionist that told me about how cp could kill me etc. He referred me to another pain specialist because he said he mainly did nerve blocks etc. and that he didn't think I needed that just having had surgery. He felt that I needed someone to just handle my oral pain meds. I said well, yes that is what I was looking for. So he referred me to a Dr. Pam Salazar in Augusta. I talked to her office, I didn't have to have a referral from my pcp or anything and they are going to see me on Aug. 4th. Her receptionist was very informative and said that this doc had helped my cp patients and handled their pain meds for them. So it looks like a prayer answered for me! I just hope she is as great as she sounds. Guest guest
Angie, That sounds like the best news! If this pain management doctor works out well for you, and is someone that you would recommend to others, could you please send me all her pertinent information so I can put her name on the doctor's database list? The list seems to grow each day, and having a personal recommendation by a member is always helpful. I'm so glad that this is working out for you. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
Thanks Heidi, I prayed for this doc and the Lord answered that prayer! I woke up about 2 hours after I went to sleep last night and was awake for about 3 hours before I got the pain back under control and I do some of my best praying then! And lo and behold I got a call today! God does truly answer prayers!! I hope she works out well. I will definetely pass her name along if she does work out. I am always willing to share someone that is a good cp doc with anyone. There are so few out there!!! Hope your having a great day!
