Guest guest
, In response to your comment: > I have not spoken to or heard from anyone who's actually had an islet cell transplant, but it seems to me this is the best procedure, as far as % of good results.< Just let me say that if Crystal, , Darren, Bert, Shirley, or several other of our members who've had the TP/ICT haven't already seen your post and spoken up, they will soon! All of these people HAVE had the total pancreatectomy with auto islet transplant, successfully, and they are always eager to tell others all about it. We are most fortunate to have their knowledge and personal experiences to draw from. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
, Forgive me, i didn't see your original post. I have not been too well this last couple of weeks, so missed it. I gather you were asking about pancreatectomy, although excuse me if i've completely missed the plot! I have had a TP without ICT (i'm in UK). It was done in 2000. I am now diabetic, and need to take insulin. I have had a few problems, but on the whole i am much better than before the surgery. If you want any further info, please contact me. Best wishes, Sue
