SINCE we know that one does not have to, to get the wonderful benefits of SCD. > Language is a tricky thing. I did not look up the pure definition of " tweak " in online Webster, but I am sure some resourceful soul could, should the spirit strike, lol. Example; we're legal, and I do not consider feeding our son within the parameters of SCD but 'our tweaks' (uh, choices) blasphemy ;-) Extrodinarily limited nuts, seeds, beans, honey... pastured meat, organic f/v (lots), raw dairy, enzymes (more than one 'mito' kid on the block ;-), specific supps per Glenn's changing needs. It works for Glenn, for now. I like what works ;-) I think btvc scd is an excellent baseline, and no one seems to be arguing that. " Just " diet success is great to read anywhere, be it scd, gfcf, enz, 'only-green-beans-on-thursday'. Whatever. Some people need to delve further into metabolics - not everyone has to (great!), and some that have did not plan on it, initially. If 'legality' is not a semantic issue, and kids are eating a balanced diet... Personally, I like reading (or at least looking into) the literature suggestions of others (of course, anyhting other than nursing school texts at this point are great, lol). Even if I wind up with more q's than answers, or don't agree with some conclusions drawn. Nice thing about a list - many POV's on one topic. It IS hard to divorce word choices from emotion or assumption - esp in type. It has been an interesting thread to follow. -christine
