Guest guest
, Glad to hear you are some better but I wish the edema would go away for you. Isn't it strange how some meds they say won't react will do it everytime. My doc gave my some hydromet cough syrup. It has hydrocodone in it. That stuff gave me a severe reaction. Now I can take hydrocodone in the pill form fine, but something in that syrup liked to have knocked me to my knees! I hope you are feeling much better every day! Guest guest
Hi : I haven't been reading or posting much myself here in the past few weeks due to this accursed illness. However, just tonight I am able to sit for a few and try and catch up and I find your post. My goodness girl, you have really been thru the ringer lately and I'm just so glad that you are ok to put it mildly. I can't believe all you've had to endure but I'm really glad that you're out of the hospital and feeling a bit better. Enough to post anyway, and that's a good sign. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and sorry for not writing to you personally either I just haven't felt well enough to do much of anything lately. This edema in my feet/ankles/calves is kicking my butt too and made worse by the fact that I've been falling asleep lately on the couch long after hubby goes to bed (he has to be up at 5am for work) and since I fall asleep sitting up, it's making the edema worse. My primary doc insisted that this particular drug he gave me last week for the edema would not cause anything remotely related to pancreatitis but I swear that the flareup I had last week was just (coincidental, I don't think so since it's happened before) that a pancreas-related problem due to the diuretic. Anyway, I was going to wait to post until I had gotten caught up thoroughly with the posts but when I saw your post I had to respond right away. Thanks to all of you that have posted responses to my earlier questions on edema and pancreas-related problems due to the diuretics. I did stop taking them after a week when the panc was acting up and lo and behold (even though I'm always in some sort of pain of varying intensity, etc.) the real flareup went away a day or so after I stopped taking them. I haven't yet told my PCP because he insisted that the drug wouldn't cause any problems but my panc apparently " thought " otherwise. I'll try and get properly caught up and then I can post some more.
