Guest guest
Hi All, I had my surgery to remove a psuedocyst on June 1st. I'm not sure that it has helped all that much. The surgery was alot more that I had anticipated and yet, alot less. When I went in they were expecting to remove my gallbladder, spleen and 60% of my pancreas. I had a lot of people praying for me. They were able to only remove the cyst. I was so glad! But all in all it has been a really tough recovery. And I'm still dealing with alot of pain. Some days I wonder if it was worth it. Anyway just wanted to update you on what was happening. Hope things are improving for the rest of you. You are in my prayers, Rhonda
Guest guest
Rhonda, Any surgery is difficult to recover from, no matter how large or small. I'm glad that they didn't remove as much as planned, it may be that it wasn't necessary? Hopefully, that will be the last you see of that pseudocyst, and that it won't return again. Those darn things can cause so much pain, let me tell ya! I'm still battling with mine, but did feel a little better today, (knock on wood). Only 15 mgs. of oxy today is a good sign. I hope things continue to improve for you and that you are soon feeling back like yourself again. Meanwhile, just rest well, take it easy, and don't worry about anything you don't have to. Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, I pray you'll see some better results soon from your June pseudocyst surgery and relief from pain. As I said in my email, I think its just as well they didn't remove any more than necessary. As you'll see by accompanying post I am expecting surgery on my pseudocyst soon, and I still have misgivings about it. When you say your cyst was removed do you mean they actually cut it off? I have been under impression that all they can do is drain it by stent or needle or, as they plan with me, by creating an opening into the stomach or intestine.
